Chaquona Jones, Welcomes Community
What a great beginning we have had at F.S. Ervin Elementary School! Now, here we are in November with the Thanksgiving holiday upon us. I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every member of the F.S. Ervin community for the gifts you give so freely, and with such joy, energy, and spirit. The support we share as a community is part of the rich history and tradition that is Wilcox County, and is something that sets us apart.
In the spirit of loving others, our students have embraced a number of opportunities this fall to reach out to our greater community including visiting the Nursing Home, making ornaments for DHR Tree of Lights, and numerous Veterans Day projects. Our students are thoughtful and compassionate, and their joy is contagious.
In the spirit of caring for others, our faculty and staff at F.S. Ervin are second to none in their commitment to our students. This group of professionals cares about our students deeply, and routinely goes the extra mile to provide an environment designed to make it easy to learn, grow, and thrive. Our faculty and staff are selfless and passionate, and their enthusiasm is inspiring.
In the spirit of giving to others, our parents and families have provided time, talent and treasure in every aspect of school life, including volunteering !!! Our parents and families are supportive and generous, and their energy sustains us and lifts us up as we go along the important work of educating our students.
This Thanksgiving is a good time for all of us to reflect on our many blessings, and to continue to use our many gifts to benefit not only our beloved F.S. Ervin community, but also our broader society and world.
May your time with family and friends be joyful and blessed. Happy Thanksgiving!
